Embracing Quiet Seasons: A Journey Back to Encouragement

Photo by Johannes Plenio on Pexels.com

Hello again friends,

It’s been quiet here for a little while—and not by accident.

Life has seasons. Some are full of creating, connecting, and pouring out. Others are about rest, reflection, and letting God work in the unseen places. This past season has been one of those quieter times for me. A time to step back, breathe, and listen. Life happens and just needed time for some self care. It has also been a time to reorganize and recharge. Deciding to pause YouTube was not an easy decision.

A now I feel ready to come back.

A sense that it’s time to return—not to the hustle, but to the heart of what I’ve always loved: encouraging others, anchoring in truth, and creating things that point back to hope.

I’m coming back—not with fanfare, but with faith.
And I’ve got something special in the works.

✨ A little project is on the horizon… one that blends creativity, faith, and encouragement in a way I hope will bless you and others. I’ll share more very soon—but for now, I wanted to offer you a small gift as we reconnect:

It features one of my favorite verses:

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up…” – 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Print it. Sit with it. Color it slowly with a cup of coffee, a quiet prayer or some worship music.
Maybe even send it to someone who needs to hear they’re not alone.

This little page carries a whisper of what’s coming next.

So stay tuned. Subscribe to the blog or follow along on YouTube and Facebook.
Something beautiful is blooming—and I can’t wait to walk in it with you.

Until then…
Stay anchored. Stay encouraged. Stay hopeful. 🤍

Blessings,
Caryn

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

©CARYNSCORNERBTQ 2022

Thank you to all who have followed me over the past two years! Wow, two years, where has time gone? 2022 is almost done! As we welcome a new year we also welcome changes. I personally don’t like change but I hope the coming changes to the Kedge Anchor will inspire others to continue to walk closer to God and continue to offer hope.

This will be the last post until 2023!! Wow 2023!! God is our only hope for the new year. That is one thing that will never change. Our God is a big God and He is the same yesterday, today and forever. We never need to worry about Him changing.

So just a few changes that you will see, the coloring pages and Memorize Mondays are going away, maybe for awhile, maybe come back looking different, I dunno, haven’t decided. I have decided to combine my art – Caryn’s Corner and The Kedge Anchor. The two are just merging and to make my life simple and hoping to make a bigger impact combing the two made sense. Weekly devotional blogs will stay.

There is some really cool content coming up so please stay tuned. And thank you again to all my followers. Stay anchored in Hope!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

New Facebook Page Coming Soon

Happy Friday!

First, I just want to ask all you out there to continue to keep Florida in your prayer as they recover from the devastation Ian has left behind. God sees all that has happened He was, He is and He always will be in the midst of any storm we face. Thank you for your prayers

Thank you to all of you who have either subscribed or just liked any of the posts here on The Kedge Anchor. If anyone here follows The Kedge Anchor on social media such as Facebook please note there will be a new Facebook page coming soon. Facebook has made some changes to pages and inadvertently somehow it was set up wrong when scrolling through the changes and Facebook doesn’t make it easy to undo changes so it’s a new page.

The only thing changing really is the link and hopefully more engagement. Instagram for now will remain the same.

Thank you to all who follow The Kedge Anchor.

Anchor in Hope!

June 20, 2022 – Isaiah 43:19

Graduating from high school or from college can be a scary thing. All that you once knew is changing. Your routine, your friends, possibly your location. And it’s ok if that is scary. There are some that embrace the newness of it all that moving on brings and that is very courageous!
If all that is changing for you, here’s a perspective that I think may help. God is working something new in you. Doesn’t mean that as you say good bye to friends or family, to your old hangouts and surroundings you can’t stay in touch or revisit them. Jesus left His disciples and He still kept in touch with them, He keeps in touch with us. Let guide you as He springs up new opportunities and new friends. As the new challenges open look to God for guidance. After all He is the One creating this newness, He can show you how to navigate it.

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

January 4, 2021 – Lamentations 3:22-23

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23 (NRSV)

God’s mercies are new every morning. Each day God gives us is another day for us to glorify Him. We are sinners let’s face it, we fail everyday in our own strength. We miss the mark daily, we can never measure up to holiness without the Blood of Jesus Christ. God gives us a new day to start over, to get things right with Him. God is a God of second and third chances, of many, many chances. We get a “do over” everyday. After 2020 we need a “do over.” Wouldn’t you agree?

What new things are you going to do with each new day God has given you? What new things are you going to do that will draw you nearer to God? How will you kedge in 2021?
