April 11, 2022 – John 19:30

“When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” – John 19:30

Tetelestai is what Jesus spoke before He commanded HIs spirit into His Father’s hands. It means so much more than it’s translated to in modern English. This is something you would say after an accomplishment, after working for something for so long, like finishing a dissertation, finishing a marathon or making the last mortgage payment. It means you accomplished exactly what set out to do.

But wait, there’s more. In Greek Tetelestai is in the perfect tense. That’s huge because it indicates that an action has been completed at the present time, in the past, or will be completed in the future. Think about it, how many years ago was the Bible written? And Jesus spoke that word in that tense. It was finished then, it is finished now and will be tomorrow and the next day and the day after that. That word is like in an “eternal tense”, like the One who spoke it.

March 28, 2022 – Psalm 84:11

Happy Monday! Wow March is almost over, summer will soon be here! As this week’s verse says, “The Lord is a sun and a shield …” He is our guide and protector, He illuminates our path and shields us from harm. If we walk uprightly with Him, then He won’t hold back on all the good things He has for us.

Enjoy relaxing and meditating on God’s word as you color in this week’s free coloring page. If you are enjoying these pages and posts, please like and share. Thank you.

March 21, 2022 – Psalm 90:17

Is it really luck? Is it all by chance? Sure some things take work and require action. But God does have some say in what we do, right? I mean nature, the world, the universe, didn’t just happen. C’mon there has to be a force behind it. Even science says for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. God’s hand, His breath is behind all that we see and experience on earth, the ocean, the breeze, the trees, birds, flowers are all designed and created by Him!

So may the work of our hands, the force behind our hands, the thoughts into our steps that take us places, may He confirm them. Acknowledge the work of His hands.

March 14, 2022 – Ephesians 2:8-9

Memorize Monday, free coloring page – Ephesians 2:8-9 – ‘For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

Salvation isn’t by luck or chance, it is a gift from God to everyone. It is a free gift, we do nothing to earn it, we just need to accept it, receive it. God doesn’t force it on us, He gives us a choice, we are free to choose it or accept it.

March 7, 2022 – Psalm 5:12

Happy March! Where does time go? When you think of the month of March, St.Patrick’s Day most likely comes to mind. Maybe luck o’ the Irish, leprechauns and a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

But with God, it’s not luck. Nothing is random. God is in control and it’s His favor and on us and blessings that He bestows on us. A flat tire may look like bad luck, but God may have allowed that flat tire to happen to prevent an accident.

So as you color these pages remember that the good and what seems bad all come from God. Evil does exist because of the fall of man, but God sent His Son to take care of that. What happened to Jesus seems bad, it was bad but it was God’s way of providing us the greatest gift, salvation.

Loving your neighbor could be the same as loving your enemy. Are you loving your neighbors? We all live in a fallen world, no one is perfect. You could be the difficult one to your neighbor, think about it. God is all about repairing relationships. After all He sent His only Son to die for us on the cross and to rise again on the third day so that we could spend eternity with Him. That’s is how He showed us love, while we were still imperfect and still His enemy, Christ died for us.

How can you love your neighbor today?

February 14, 2022 – Romans 5:8

Happy Valentine’s Day!!! The verse today reflects God’s love for us. He sacrificed His Son to die on the cross and Jesus willingly sacrificed His life for us while we were still sinners. He didn’t wait for us to get our act together, He didn’t wait for us to measure up, because He knows we never can. But through Him, through His sacrifice we can have forgiveness.

The fact that God DOES NOT change gives me hope. He is timeless, He is true, His love never changes. No matter how much I mess up, no matter how well I do, He loves me the same. I can’t do anything to make Him love me any more or any less. He is the same yesterday, today and forever! While the years may change, times change, culture changes, weather changes, God remains the same throughout every season in life!

A new year, a new song. What new song is God placing on your heart. Maybe it’s song you just haven’t heard or sung in while, maybe it’s a song by someone you haven’t of before or maybe it’s one you have written yourself. God wants us to sing to Him. I struggle with that at times. As the song goes, “I’m gonna sing in the middle of the storm.” (Raise a Hallelujah – Bethel Music). Have you tried to sing in the storm? It’s not the easiest but it can be the most rewarding.
